Free Diving Security Tips

Never eat a heavy meal the night before the dive. Its important to keep your stomach empty through diving in order to maintain low blood pressure and not force blood in to the stomach and intestines.
Make sure you start your journey in to the free diving - spearfishing region from shallow waters and gradually building to more deep waters, depeding on to your progress.
Always be ready for the worst scenario, spearfishing and freediving is one of the most dangerous sports and you must be alert by the time you enter the water.
It is very important to track your time under water both during the training and the actual dive. Measuring your time is very important and one of the key factors to predict a possible drawning.
Be carefull for hyperventilation mistake, will cause you to dive for longer than your oxygen reserves will allow and will make you more susceptible to blackout during ascent. This is due to a rapid reduction in the partial pressure of oxygen in you bloodstream as you pass through the pressure gradients.
